Paramedics, police and an air ambulance were called to Holmcroft Road in Stafford shortly after 18:30 BST on Saturday. In a social media post, Staffordshire Police said: "Tragically, nothing could be done to save the boy.
He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 19:30. " The force added that the boy's family had been informed. Police said a cordon had been put in place and would remain while they completed their inquiries.
